About eBrick
Recently an IoT trial was successfully implemented at our now launching customer the Municipality of Amersfoort. Sensors invisible to cars were placed under the road counting number, speed and size of motorized vehicles. The realtime data was collected 24/7 and carried over Tele2's 3/4G mobile network. The data supports the local government with decisions on mobility. It also provides valuable information in cases where citizens complain about unsafe conditions and noise pollution.
In 2018 eBrick will be launched to the market.
Tubes carrying invisible sensors of eBrick are drilled in the road. These state-of-the-art sensors are able to count the number of vehicles and collect statistics on speed and the size of motorized vehicles. This information is realtime available in a portal and can be downloaded for local governments and citizens. It can help for example with urban planning and determine unsafe conditions. Compared to traditional solutions eBrick provides a very cost-effective solution and uses the latest digital technologies.
